Robert W. McCarthy:

A native of Lincoln, Illinois, Mr. McCarthy served 22 years in the Illinois Legislature, being elected in 1954 to the Illinois House of Representatives. He served there until 1960 when he was elected to the Illinois Senate. Since his legislative career ended in 1976, he has practiced law in Decatur, Illinois full time.

Robert W. McCarthy was a graduate of the University of Illinois Law School in 1946, following service in the U.S. Army in World War II. His practice limited to worker's compensation and personal injury claims for the injured party. Mr. McCarthy has been, both in the legislative and in his practice, an advocate for the injured worker.

Hugh H. Rowden:

A native of Decatur, Illinois. Mr. Rowden graduated from University of Illinois in 1969 and received his Law Degree from University of Iowa in 1972. He is licensed to practice law in the States of Illinois, Iowa, and in United States Federal Courts.

Mr. Rowden served as an Assistant State's Attorney in Sangamon County, Springfield, Illinois, from 1972 - 1974. He has been in continuous private practice of law with McCarthy, Rowden & Baker and its predecessors since 1974. He is a member of Breakfast Sertoma and serves on the Decatur Salvation Army Advisory Board. He is a member of the Decatur Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and serves on the Illinois State Bar Association Committee on Civil Practice and Procedure. He represents clients in Trial and Appellate Courts and before the Illinois Industrial Commission.

Mr. Rowden's practice is concentrated in Adoption, Estate Planning/Wills, Family Law, Personal Injury, Probate, Real Estate, and Worker's Compensation.

Douglas McCarthy:

A native of Decatur, Illinois. Mr. McCarthy graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1975, a Masters from Sangamon State University in 1976 and his Law Degree from Southern Illinois University in 1979. He was an associate with the law firm from 1979-1981 and has been a partner since 1981.

Mr. McCarthy is a member of Illinois Trial Lawyers-Worker's Compensation Committee, ISBA, Decatur Bar Association, Association Trial Lawyers of America and the National Organization Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR).

Mr. McCarthy has given lectures at the Decatur Bar Association, People's Law School Worker's Compensation, Macon-Moultrie Legal Secretary's Association on Worker's Compensation.

He has represented injured workers before the Illinois Industrial Commission, Circuit, Appellate and Supreme Court of Illinois.

D. Douglas McCarthy's practice is concentrated in Social Security Disability and Worker's Compensation.

Ryan L. Baker:

Native of Lincoln, Illinois. Mr. Baker graduated from Lincoln College. He then graduated from University of Illinois and continued on to law school at the University of Akron where he graduated law school in 1992. While in school he was a law clerk for the United States Sixth District Court. As well as a Law Clerk to the General Counsel, Illinois Department of Public Aid. Mr. Baker is an Eagle Scout.

Mr. Baker has practiced with McCarthy, Rowden and Baker since his law school graduation in 1992. He is currently a partner.

Ryan Baker's practice is concentrated in Worker's Compensation.

John N. Cannon:

John graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1995. He then continued on to law school at Southern Illinois University, where he graduated in 1999. John was admitted to the Illinois Bar in May of 2000 and has been a partner with the firm since 2006.

John is currently a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Decatur Bar Association. His practice is concentrated on resolution of personal injury claims, through negotiations with insurance companies and conducting jury trials.

Todd Wilkinson :

A native of Decatur, Illinois, Todd graduated from Millikin University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 2000. He then continued on to law school at Northern Illinois University and graduated with honors in 2004. While in school, he was a law clerk in Algonquin, Illinois. He was admitted to the U.S. Patent Bar and the Illinois State Bar in 2004. He currently is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Decatur Bar Association.

Todd Wilkinson’s practice is concentrated in civil litigation, estate planning/wills, family law, real estate transactions, traffic and misdemeanors.
